Adding, up to, 20% Hydrogen to Natural Gas will NOT impact current FGAs approved to EN50379
Adding, up to, 20% Hydrogen to Natural Gas won’t impact your current FGA.
As a UK supplier & servicer of domestic FGAs approved to EN50379 using Oxygen and Carbon Monoxide sensors to measure flue gas emissions, TPI Europe Ltd was obviously interested in the research & conclusions on whether your existing FGA would need to be changed or updated by the UK’s plan to add, up to, 20% Hydrogen to Natural Gas to help decarbonise the environment.
Research at Keele University confirmed that ALL current FGAs approved to EN50379 are NOT affected by this plan which means that Gas Safe Registered engineers can carry on without any change, or cost to themselves, and continue to help decarbonise the environment using their existing approved Flue Gas Analyser.
Check out Technical Bulletin TB157 at Gas Safe Register to see how these tests were conducted including their conclusions in more detail.
